Arkema sets up its new headquarters in Paris La Défense
Arkema is setting up its new headquarters in the heart of La Défense, Europe’s largest business district, an ideal location to host its various partners, symbolizing a new milestone in the Group's transformation. Inspired by Arkema's know-how, values, and commitment to CSR, these new premises are designed to combine quality of life at work with collective performance.
A modern ecosystem for the Group's employees and stakeholders
With a floor area of approximately 25,000 m2, Lightwell, Arkema's new head office, aims to be a benchmark not only in terms of workspace but also of living space.
It has been designed to be modern and collaborative, and so induces seamless exchanges and synergies between the Group's teams.
Furthermore, Lightwell is ideally located in the center of the Esplanade de La Défense and is very well served by a large public transport network which will facilitate interactions with the Group's numerous stakeholders and also contribute to Arkema's attractiveness.
A showcase of Arkema's know-how and innovations
This new headquarters also showcases Arkema's know-how and materials in terms of performance and sustainability. Among them, an eco-friendly paint made from patented SYNAQUA® resin, certified solvent-free and composed of 97% bio-based molecules, covers almost all of the interior walls.
As for the furniture, the atrium features the iconic chairs and tables from Maison Gatti, crafted with Arkema's Rilsan® material, and embodying the Parisian art of living.
Finally, Bostik®’s solutions were extensively used for the preparation and installation of flooring and tiles, ensuring performance and durability. The premium coatings from Ideal Work®, another brand of the Group, also add an aesthetic and functional touch to several areas of the building.
Furthermore, designed to anticipate the energy standards of 2050, Lightwell operates entirely on renewable energy, and aims for HQE Exceptional and BREEAM Excellent certifications.
Arkema's innovations will be on display in an entirely new showroom, “Le Lab”, offering an immersive, interactive and evolving experience, accessible in French, English and Chinese.
Designed to explore the Group's technological trends and innovations in an educational way, "Le Lab" features demonstrations, rich and varied content, and global accessibility thanks to innovative digital solutions.
“This project symbolizes our great ambition, our collective commitment, and our ability to create, for living and working well together while bringing innovative solutions to our customers and partners. This change of location is the result of a team effort driven by passion and the desire to build a modern workplace that meets the highest environmental standards, while reflecting the entrepreneurial and international culture of our Group. Our specialty materials and innovations will find their rightful place here” stated Thierry Le Hénaff, Arkema Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
